Accounts Payable Specialist

Sarnia, ON · Full-time · Onsite · $50,000 - $60,000 CAD

Full-cycle accounts payable supporting the accounting team — invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor reconciliation. Open to candidates in Sarnia, Windsor, or Mississauga.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager. The Accounts Payable Specialist handles full-cycle AP — verifying and coding invoices, entering them into the accounting system, processing payment runs, and reconciling vendor statements. The role coordinates with vendors and works closely with the internal finance and procurement teams.

Locations

Open to candidates in Sarnia (preferred), Windsor, or Mississauga, ON. Full-time onsite, Monday to Friday, day shift.

What you'll do

- Verify, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system - Process weekly payment runs (EFT, cheque, wire) and resolve discrepancies - Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate AP records - Manage expense reports and corporate card reconciliations - Support month-end close, accruals, and AP reporting - Coordinate with vendors and internal finance/procurement teams

What we're looking for

- Minimum 1 year of accounts payable or accounting experience - Working knowledge of full-cycle AP and general accounting - Experience with an ERP/accounting system (Sage, Dynamics, NetSuite) - Strong data entry, accuracy, and attention to detail - Proficiency with Excel - Candidates must be based in Canada
