Lead the accounting function for a growing Alberta organization — full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.

An established and growing Calgary organization is adding a Controller to lead its accounting function. Reports to the VP of Finance and partners closely with operations leadership. Owns the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, and the systems and controls behind them.

What you'll own

- Full-cycle accounting and a timely, accurate month-end close - Monthly financial statements and management reporting packages - Budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management - Internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvement - The annual external audit and relationships with auditors and tax advisors - Mentoring and developing a small accounting team

What we're looking for

- CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience - Strong technical knowledge of ASPE/IFRS and internal controls - Proven experience owning month-end close in a mid-sized organization - Advanced Excel; experience with a mid-market ERP - High attention to detail and a continuous-improvement mindset - Clear communicator able to partner across departments

Compensation & benefits

- $110,000 - $130,000 CAD - Performance bonus - Health, dental, and vision coverage - RRSP matching - Hybrid schedule (3 days in office)
