Project Manager — Automated Systems
Remote / Field (GTA) · Full-time · Remote · Permanent · $85,000 - $90,000 CAD
Customer-facing Project Manager delivering warehouse automation and material-handling projects from kickoff to closeout for a national provider. Multiple concurrent projects, full budget and schedule ownership, vendor and subcontractor coordination, and regular travel to customer sites. Company vehicle, gas card and overtime on top of base.
A customer-facing Project Manager role delivering warehouse automation and material-handling projects end to end — kickoff through completion — for a national provider. This is explicitly not an engineering or design role; it suits someone who wants to build a long-term career in automation delivery rather than move toward a P.Eng. designation.
Schedule & location
Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Remote and field-based across the GTA, with travel to customer sites throughout project execution.
What you'll be doing
- Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying sizes - Serve as the primary customer contact throughout delivery - Coordinate vendors, subcontractors and internal departments daily - Own budgets, schedules, scope, change orders and project documentation - Lead meetings and present project updates - Troubleshoot issues and manage project risk - Work within an established PMO methodology and governance model
What we're looking for
- 4-5 years of project management experience running multiple concurrent projects - Strong budget, schedule, scope and change-order management - Genuinely strong customer-facing skills — running meetings, managing expectations, handling difficult conversations and escalations - Daily coordination across vendors, subcontractors, sales, operations, installation, service and health & safety - Comfortable with project schedules, action logs, meeting minutes, status reports, PM software, Teams and Excel - Ideal backgrounds: warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling, conveyors, robotics or ASRS. Also strong: industrial construction, mechanical or electrical contracting, industrial installations. Also considered: manufacturing, facilities, capital equipment and packaging
